To be fair, Charizard has always been the fan-favorite.

I usually went with charizard in the original games. But I've been using M-Blastoise in X and I absolutely love him. I don't think you can find a more reliable pokemon.

Wherever I go its a 50/50 Blastoise Charizard split. I'm a Charizard man but Blastoise is pretty cool. So is Venusaur but no one ever gives it love.

I love me some Blastoise, and I love using it's mega evolution in VGC. It's a very underrated Pokemon, being able to kill/do severe damage to the likes of Tyranitar, Garchomp, Salamence, Aegislash, Talonflame, and even Mega Kangaskhan if you're running Aura Sphere.

I played R/B a lot of times, my first pick ever was Venusaur, however I used Blastoise much more after that.

It should push it into the 400 range which should beat anything without boosts or scarfs.

Might need a few evs in speed to get that 400 though, not sure.

Blastoise is so underrated in VGC. I mean, seeing Charizards, Kangaskhans and Tyranitars everywhere, having this with STAB Watter attacks, Ice Beam for dragons and ''STAB'' Aura Sphere is great, at the same time it has the bulk to resist very well in doubles enviroment
