what do you actually put on a "balanced team". hyper offense and stall are obvious but is balanced just half and half?

I heard clefable is bretty gud on balanced teams

Are balanced teams still viable? I only got into competitive play in Gen V, when I could just build any coherent karenfag team (covered its weaknesses, mixed bulk and sweepers) and win a lot of battles.
Nowadays I get rekt if I don't carefully build a team to play around this gen's most common threats. There's still some leeway, but it's much easier to get curb-stomped.

No. Hyper Offense or bust. They've just banned Swagger to increase the viability of Hyper Offense, further pushing the nail into balanced's rich coffin.
