So, how do we fix Critical Hits?

I propose one or some of the following:

>Remove entirely. Old moves and abilities based around crits are fixed.

>Removed entirely aside from some set moves and abilities (Slash, Cross Poison, Sniper, etc) Also the Stick item retains critical utility in some form.

>Remove the stat buff breaker. So that setting up a wall only to have a lucky critical come in doesn't happen. As it is now it promotes hyper offensive play and makes defensive play an even worse role of the dice.

And honestly the latter is by far the worst offender of them all, since offensive stat buffs still stack up on a critical hit.

Then why not introduce an anti-critical mechanic? Every move has a chance to do 0.5 damage. Surely that would be fine, right?

No. It would be fucking stupid and has no place in a game like Pokemon, and nor do critical hits. At the VERY least have them disabled for online/competitive play. Masion/Battle Frontier facilities too while they're at it.

But I'm sure there's more ways they could be fixed, so what do you think /vp/?
