What was first, Mew or Arceus?

According to cannon Mew was the first pokemon, but also Arceus is the god creator.
What if Mew is the real Pokegod who created Arceus who is just a Demiurge?

Since Arceus's pokedex entry says it came from an egg and Mew's says it was the ancestor of all pokemon(ancestor also means progenitor by the way, meaning they don't necessarily have to be blood-related, just that they came from Mew somehow) my headcanon is that Mew created Arceus, and is this the progenitor of all pokemon using Arceus as the proxy.

Arc's said to have hatched from an egg in a world with nothing else. Assume Mew is like a codex, or table of contents Arc created as a reference point or something.

I like to think that Arceus created the legendaries to form the world and the legendaries created the pokemon, with mew being the first and the ancestor of the rest.
So Arceus would see the pokemon as grandsons.

I know a lot of you here are atheists, but really? Arguing this in a story based on fantasy? I'm Catholic but when I read stories about apocalypses and angels versus demons, I understand that those stories have their own canon outside of my beliefs and that such stories don't cater to me and my faith alone.

Scientific in terms of Mew and Mewtwo, I accept. But in Gen II you have a shrine to a forest protector. In fact, all of the Gen II legends are somehow tied to some form of veneration given Johto's strong cultural and historical nature compared to Kanto. They just amped it up in Gen IV, but to say that Pokemon had no religious undertones earlier than Sinnoh is arguable. That's pretty much Shintoism right there. Pokemon is both Sci-Fi and Fantasy--they just vary in which becomes the undertone.

Arceus is a demiurge, western people here raised in Abrahamic faiths need to get rid of the concept that Creator = all powerful deity, there's no indication of any omnipotence or what have you. And besides, multiple legendary pokemon exist of individual species, what's to say they're anything close to gods at all?

So Arceus as demiurge created Mew, who as the original Pokemon species diverged and became every other pokemon eventually. That's the best way you can reconcile the myths.

And in my headcanon mew is the ancestor of all mammal-like pokemon (and humans) that used to live in the dinosaur era and only started evolving after the ice age.
