I'm Russian, but DS is set to UK for whatever reason, never bothered to check before registering for ranked battles. It's funny cause if I set region to Russia I'd be in the top 3 if not no.1 right now.

Yes. I remember some guy on the forums claimed that he win local tournaments in discussion about how really competitive pokemons is compared to Dota and such. So... add other two guys and you got russian competitive community.

If there is, it's probably a minor forum with few active people.

To play pokemon at competitive level you need to be at least semifluid in english, and if you do that there's no reason why you wouldn't use Smogon or whatever's hip globally, rather than split by region.

Plus, pokemon isn't too popular in eastern europe in general. Partially Nintendo's fault, there's no official resellers and shit.
