I didn't say it was a bad line of reasoning. Inner Focus is actually useful in doubles because Fake Out is so common, and unlike Own Tempo and Vital Spirit, some stuff that's not absolute shit gets it.

Seriously, I've lost to Aerodactyl at least five times, probably more. It always goes the same way:

>Sanic fast
>Uses Rock Slide
>Never misses, always flinces

The absolute worst thing was when I was running a sun team with max Speed Timid Chlorophyll Victreebel. The opponent was running a SCARF Aerodactyl. Seriously, the AI Scarfed a base 130 Speed Pokemon just to outspeed Timid Chlorophyll Victreebel in the sun and yet again flinched my team to death. There was a time when I run M-Scizor for the sole reason of countering Aerodactyl. Also, those fucking critical hits.

I shit my pants every time I see Aerodactyl in Maison. Fuck I hate flinching, it's the absolute worst bullshit game mechanic in Pokemon, even worse than Confusion or Evasion.

I mean, when the luck part is if you trip or not like in SSBB yeah then that really is complete shit but the crit factor in Pokémon keeps the matches entertaining.
Even if it fucks you over a lot.

You don't see people playing Baseball bitching that someone made a lucky catch. Luck is more celebrated in other games IMO.

You're probably too young to remember this but Netbattle had several people write bots for it with simplistic AI and then they had those bots climb up the ladder. All they did was type match and they still won more than they lost.

You're severely overestimating this game's complexity.

That's just your delusion. Sets are fixed in Maison, and every Pokémon has up to four of them.

Back when there were no moves, abilities or held items that could wake you up. And they used 3v3 back then, so losing more than one mon to sleep would be disastrous.

Nintendo phased it out for a reason, retard.

Smogon on the other hand never had a good case against sleep since at least gen III or IV, they just kept using it so they wouldn't have to git gud.
