>>18782044A bit of luck, including not knowing what team you're up against, picking the correct lead, making the correct picks (in 3v3/4v4 dubs), landing a lucky crit to KO that pesky wall or landing 2-3 Focus Misses in a row, adds flavor to the game and can turn tides in battle. It actually makes the game more fun and less static. This, however, is entirely different from turning every single match into a coin toss shitfest where skill is entirely removed and the winner is dependent solely on RNG. While a lot of RNG abuse strategies are nowhere near as 'OP' or 'uncounterable' as some make them out to be, they are both uncompetitive and annoying,. They aren't too well balanced out either (then again, with wankers like GF, what is balanced?) - for example while there are many good and viable Sleep inducers, most Pokemon that get insomnia/Vital Spirit unfortunately suck donkey balls, or have a much better ability, sacrificing which will hinder them, and the same applies to confusion with Own Tempo users. In the case of Sleep, the easiest way to fairly balance it is a simple clause, yet GF fails to implement even that. There also aren't too many moves/abilities which serve to penalize the player for using such strategies, all I can point out right now being Sleep Talk and the status berries. Evasion is also an issue only due to a lack of balance - everyone and their grandma gets DT access, plenty of viable mons get Minimize, too, yet never-miss moves are either weak, have shit distribution, or both. And I can pull plenty of more specific ways to counter conventional hax abuse sets out of my ass right now - Minimize Toxistall pink blobs are utterly molested by Immunity Snorlax, who can set up, toxic, or simply Body Slam them to death while shaking off anything they throw at it.
