I think this is the most reasonable solution, seeing as it already had a full moveset aside from down special. They may make it Venusaur and power up the moves and make it slower in return too.
Sceptile would be too similar to Greninja, swift and nimble attacker, and Torterra has very limited options for being a fighter, it would have Earthquaka and Wood Hammer but aside from that there aren't many possibilities. Especially not for normal attacks

I'm putting my money on chesnaught, just so they can fully promote gen 6. Charizard looks like a strong bulky attacker while greninja seems to be more of a speedy attacker. So, they'll need one with high defense and good recovery, so chesnaught it is.

You do know that Spiky Shield doesn't use the shell on Chesnaught's back right?
At most Spiky Shield would be a blocking animation or a b/b+forward move where it rams the shield into the opponent.

But that'd be perfect. Venusaur would over-represent gen1, nobody even knows Meganium exists, and they already have one from gen4/5 so it'd be a good mix. It'd also be the easiest to animate and design moves for.

There will be no Grass starter. All of them are too bulky, and the only one that isn't would play just like Greninja.

The last Pokemon rep will be Jigglypuff with a reworked moveset to reflect the Fairy type, and I am totally okay with that.

Sceptile fails as a design. I get they were going with this "agile-reptor-ninja" thing with it, but sticking a fern up its butt doesn't exactly help that design. It looks burdened as fuck.
