Platinum can seriously fuck you up for various reasons. The ingame mons have much, much better movesets than in any other game. Some of them even have fucking move tutor moves, especially Galactic Admins, and they're also about 2-3 levels higher than they were in DP, and DP weren't walks in the park either.

Fucking Cyrus has a Honchcrow with Heat Wave. You can't even legitimately get that in Platinum until after you've beaten the Elite four.

Platinum is legitimately one of the hardest games in the main Pokemon series. It's honestly what I'd want out of a third version game.

I mean, just look at some of these fucking Pokemon. Keep in mind all of these save for maybe Crobat were OU in Gen IV before Platinum came out. His pokemon and Cynthia's Pokemon are also EV'd. And not just EVs thrown on them randomly. They're EV'd as if they were competitive pokemon. And all of these pokemon have IVs of 25 across the board. Cynthia's have 31 across the board.
