How would this idea affect the competitive battles?

All common pokemon have the same Base Stat Total, just spread differently. Yes, this means baby mons and final mons would have the same BST.

The legendaries would have a higher BST, naturally. But this would mean you could simply battle with no legendaries on your team if that's what people want and there is a mechanic already in place for that.

Is this a good idea or a bad one?
