If you could, how would you change Cut to make it an effective move in battle? Keep in mind that you generally get it early in the game.

Any other HMs you'd change to make more useful?

Cut: does standard shit damage and removes one. Level of stat increase, prioity move.

Change its type to either Grass or Steel, raise its BP to 70, and either give it a high critical-hit ratio or give it a chance to lower Defense

I just want a different physical bug type move than x-scissor (besides bug bite, which I just remembered).

There are more physical bug type moves than special bug type moves for good physical bug type moves you forgot U-Turn, Megahorn and Attack Order

By not having cut at all and have it replaced by slash/nightslash/psycho cut or any cutting moves instead and make the a tm or make pokemon learn those moves early.

How about Flash?

It's cool when used to light up caves, but it's totally unusable even in-game. Maybe make it lower Defense and Accuracy?
