Why has it taken so long to implement different animations for Hidden Power based on type? If not images that represent the type(leaves or fireballs, for example) then at least different colors for the energy wave would be cool.

I've seen people argue that it makes it too easy for your opponent to know what type Hidden Power is but it seems to me that the type is more or less revealed the second that you use it, anyway. You're not going to use HP unless it's super effective, so that can narrow it down by quite a lot, and HP is always used as coverage for very specific problem pokemon so you can even narrow it down by what pokemon the opponent is using. It's not as if people are going "Gee, Hidden Power OHKO'd my Scizor, I wonder what type it is.......... Grass, maybe?"
