Doesn't die after one iron defense. He dies at plus 2. It's a really strong team if you know exactly what's coming, and that's why it works. We can throw what if situations, but, it doesn't work due to the nature of how battles work.

Baton pass passes the Curse around, just like leech seed, except that Curse can't be blocked or reflected and does 25% damage every turn.

Just ban more than one BPer on a team. They should have done that with Swagger. Or just ban BP + Magic Bounce. Without Espeon, a simple Taunt, Roar, or Haze shuts it down. The Smogon thread is only discussion about nerfing it, not even banning.

I guess /vp/ knows nothing about the metagame though, so this thread will quickly descend into stupidity.

Out of all those things listed, the only ones that are consistently well against anything else besides BP teams are Exca with rocks, Quagsire with haze(on stall teams) and a Choiced Chandelure. And even then, flash fire is a better ability most of the time.
