The reason that there are so many in Generations 1 and 2 is because they knew how to be video games. They crafted a world, have fun, find out what's happening.
The new games have a linear structure to the point where it's becoming an interactive story.
You don't craft the story, you sit back and let them do it.
Fuck the stories. The linear structure should be the least important part of the game, if included at all.
The Pokémon mythology should be a complete mystery, excluding explanations that raise further questions. Not stories you sit back and watch.
