It should just get Arena Trap as a hidden ability. That'd make it useful.

I want to use him as a special tank or special attacker.
I like that he gets nature power, it's a ground type move that actually doesn't hit every single fucking person on the field.

Every time I see Flygon's angry eyes I think that Flygon is thinking:

Levitate + U-Turn + being hazard resistant is its Niche.

It can work as a scout with either a Scarf or a Band. It lack raw power but its maneuverable and its easy to gain momentum with it o give a key blow thanks to its moves.

Remember, it gets Superpower plus STAB Earthquake and U-Turn. This said, it NEEDS a Boosting move, it only gets Hone Claws for fucks sake.

I like Flygon, its one of my favourite Mons.

But I don't dislike Garchomp either, its pretty cool on its own and its design is neat.

I even have a Female trained one called Kerrigan. But even then, you can't deny that Flygon needs at least one set up move, don't called Hone Claws or Focus Energy, its just sad.

If only... but it lacks Dragon Rush and the only notable moves in that is Fire Blast

Hone Claws, Fire Blast, Dragon Rush and Earthquake/Stone Edge would be nice. But then again... A lot of other mons gets Hone Claws too and they just drop it for Swords Dance.

And 100 Speed isn't great today.

That's why I don't mind about it. I run this set on Flygon... And I must say that I play doubles too, so I'm going to explain it a little.

T. Yokoshima (M) (Flygon) @ Choice Band
Ability: Levitate
Ev's: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
(Level: 50)
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- U-Turn

Thanks to is typing, I can throw it almost anytime, since I use both Discharge and Bulldoze to control the speed of the foes.

Superpower can deal a huge blow against Blissey, Snorlax, Ferrothorn and the likes. Dragon Claw is realiable STAB and can deal decent damage.
Earthquake is an obvious choice, and since I use both Gyarados and a lot of Pokémon with Protect in the team, I can use it with safety.

U-Turn is for chip damage, and allow me to switch without being a manual switch.
It works nice, it isn't the best, but I like it.

My compatriot.
I like the offensive touch, but I think I'd prefer Flygon as a tank. He's got some decent offensive clout, and gets roost.

Yeah, what it lacks in natural bulk it have in typing and ability.
Resistant to Rock and Fire (And now Poison as relevant because Fairies) and inmune to Electric and Ground, it gives a lot of switch in chances, and can stall with Roost.

This said, either Bulky or Offensive, it needs to run a +Speed Nature to do something. Unless you have either Tailwind support or Flygon as the Bulldoze user.

GF hates giving Levitating Pokemon hidden abilities. The only exception I can think of is Bronzong and it got Heatproof because of what it's based on.

Sometimes I wish they'd just make Pokemon capable of flight. A tag, like different weight classes. Give Levitators different abilities. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed.
