I think the current state of the metagame is the worst Pokemon has ever been, and this focus on Priority is terrible. I'm also 90% sure that the reason they stated in that interview that they want to simplify things, including the removal of certain items and abilities next gen, is because the creators too, are unhappy with how the fanbase shaped the metagame around it. They nerfed weather to encourage diversity, and like a hydra, this took its place.
VGC's is gonna look embarrassingly shit.

It's a trashbag, it even has the knot where a human would have tied the trashbag shut. Even in Pokemon Lore, the concept just makes zero sense.
Everything else, be it Magnemite, Garbador, or Klefki, looks great.
