Mega mechanics

So how exactly do mega evolution work on the turn you use them?
I noticed that Mega Banette's Prankster does only work on the 2nd turn, yet Charizard Y activates Drought on the first turn for example.

What about the stats? Some people say they kick in on the first turn, some say they do on the 2nd turn.

Turn order is calculated before you mega-evolve - if your speed or priority changes it won't take effect until after the evolution. Drought has nothing to do with this so it activates immediately.

pretty sure the stat boosts and ability changes take effect immediately, not sure where you're getting second turn for prankster. My manectric, for instance, lowers the opponents attack right after he mega evolves

Speed is the only stat that does not come through immediately.

Prankster deals with "speed", ergo it does not come through fist turn.

Remember this always, you have a megachomp with 102 base speed for one turn and one turn only. Likewise your manectric is outsped by a load of shit first turn.

Thats why Megaheracross is a little more fast the first turn but slow down second turn.
