Help me pick my team in Y

Hello /vp/!
Hopefully you aren't sick of this kind of threads...
I need help picking the last two members of my team in Pokémon Y.

My current team (pic related) is:
Greninja (level 42)
Charizard Y (level 42)
Ampharos (level 45)
Gardevoir (level 44)

I am currently at route 17.
I only played up to gen 3 so I have absolutely no idea where to find the new Pokémon and which ones are good/bad.

You should add some Fighting-type. I'd recommend Scrafty, or Toxicroak if you have something to breed Drain Punch onto it. Meditite or Mienfoo would also be options. And you could have caught them all 10 routes earlier.

Hmm looks good. Would help me against electric, ghost and psychic types. It has a lot of weaknesses though. Won't that become an issue?

I already have a dragon and it seems like Krookodile would be a better option as a ground type since it's dark as well.

Heracross would be good for dark and psychic opponents. His mega evolution seems insane as well in terms of attack.

OK I have decided to get Heracross (pretty sure I already got one in the PC actually). Need 1 more. Something strong against electric and maybe something more I got a weakness against. Suggestions? Flygon or Krookodile maybe?

You should EV train. I'm EV training for the first time in white right now. Krookodile has really good attack and defense. I got a nature to decrease his special attack and put tons of EVs into defense to make him a tank. Here's my party

Oh, I haven't really looked into EV training and stuff like natures (although I know about natures a bit since they were in Emerald).
I am not that serious about the game. Just want to know which Pokémon would fit in my team.

Heracross gets rekt by psychics and also fairies (though you are past that gym)
The good thing about Scrafty is its Psychic immunity and fantastic bulk

Garchomp would be another option to deal with electric-types, although it is pretty standard.

Oh right. For some reason I thought Heracross was strong against psychic.
I have never seen Garchomp before but it looks very good. Probably better than Flygon.
OK I will get Garchomp and now I need something against psychic/fairy.
I dislike Scrafty for some reason.

What is it and how do you do it?
I know a bit about it, like killing certain Pokémon will cause certain stats to increase when you level. Is that right? So you just go around grinding a certain Pokémon to make certain stats go up?

You look up EV training hot spots. Some pokemon give out more EVs than others and only to one stat. Every 4 EVs increases your stat by 1. You can have a maximum of 252 EVs on one stat but all together you can put 510 EVs into your pokemon. It took me about 3-4 hours of play to get Zebstrika EV trained. Just look up EV training hot spots and get some pokemon that give out a lot of EVs. Look at your stats and what you want to improve, I personally like to balance them out. Natures are important too, idk if you are familiar with them but the usually increase and decrease a certain stat by 10%.

you only need to EV train for competitive battles or doing stuff like going on a streak in the battle maison

for a regular playthrough of the game, don't waste your time
