If this is true, I would say that XD is the same fanfic, but some adult found it and said that the kid could send this in to a writing magazine at school if they changed everything.

For this reason, I think that XD is horrible sequel to the best Pokemon game. I'm still waiting on Pokemon Colosseum 3, or at lest a cameo from Wes or Rui in a main game.

The music is pretty much what redeems that 3rd gen chapter, didn't have water trumpets like RSE and no water routes. But some of the graphics and the character design were disappoing, the plot easy to forgive and so on.

I liked Colo and XD for different reasons. Colo had better atmosphere and the characters were unique without becoming "Jovi is best sister". XD kinda pissed me off in softening Orre up, though at the same time it's nice to know that the parts of Orre that overlap between the games are starting to get their shit together after Wes cleaned house.

XD however felt like a fuller game (probably because it wasn't tacked on to a Stadium game) and the gameplay and battling were fresher with more pokemon to choose from, a lot of which might've been someone's first chance to use them in a playthrough (like houndour).

I wish they would have finished the series with a third game to wrap it up though. I guess the Wii and PBR messed it up though.
