Quagsire has a niche in that it has Unaware and Haze. Can switch into anything that is setting up or has set up and then use haze so I can switch back into something else. Viable in OU and even Ubers.

Most people run swift-swim Ludicolo but use Rain Dish with Leftovers/Leech Seed and you're getting like 25% of your health back every turn. Also Giga Drain. Can be very bulky. Not as viable in this gen with no infinite rain but can still be run.

My problem is I enjoy Pic-related, but I also really like Infernape.

I'd put both of them on my team, but I think there is only room for one. I have another frail speedster on my team that is Greninja, and I feel if I have three frail Speedsters that is half of my team gone if something sets up.

The smart man would say go with Infernape and Greninja, but in my heart I wish I could have all 3. But what would I use to cover them.

Infernape makes a great Endeavor/Mach Punch/Overheat/Close Combat attacker.

Endeavor then Mach Punch speedier threats with no priority, or Close Combat one turn, take a Sash'd hit, then Overheat the next for maximum damage, then Endeavor the next Pokemon if you can't handle it. Opens up teams like you wouldn't believe.

Access to icy wind and blizzard gives it a small niche over Rotom-w in doubles. The combination of water absorb and volt absorb can make it kind of annoying to predict. It's a shame Rotom-w has such a wide utility movepool though.

In order to use this guy I need to run something with a trapping move and thunder wave/hypnosis first. Once it gets set up however, it's a powerhouse of a physical sweeper.
There's probably a better way to use it, but I don't play at a competitive level

Before it was given a new lease on life with a mega form and a secondary fairy typing, I couldn't make a team without one. I still can't.

Its shiny Mega form is also one of the best, if not the best shiny in the game in my personal opinion. Gen VI is the first time I ever MM'd for a Shiny.

I love Delcatty purely because she is one of my favorite Pokemon, and also because she is a nice little healer.
Sure, she is outclassed by Blissey in so many ways, but I love my feline companion.
My team just doesn't feel like my team without her.

He's not very usable, but he's better than Torterra, praise be. Chesnaught is debatable but I guess the fact that he makes such a nice pivot gives him far more undeniable use than Sceptile's rather shaky specialities.

Actually, is there any Grass starter WORSE than Torterra? Serperior and Meganium are terrible but Torterra is just some next level awful. Maybe it's usable in doubles..?

Doubles it with an Accelgor with Gastric Acid and turn off slow start turn one. Accelgor is also like the sixth fastest thing in the entire game, so by the time you actually attack, you're at full power. It's also pretty much guarantee'd that Acid will go off.

serperior is literal into the trash tier
gen V was great other than the starters, i don't think i would be alone in saying they were the worst, both competitively and design wise, thus far in the whole series.
