Why people don't call him Terry?

They use names like Fire and Leaf yet don't call him Terry. According to bulbapedia dummied out data is a reliable source.

People call her Leaf because there's no official name, so dummied data is all they have. He has an official name. Two, in fact. Hell, it's why people use Leaf in the first place. If you call her Blue, you get people complaining that her name is Green, and his name is Blue. If you call her Green, you get people complaining that her name is Blue, and his name is Green. At least with Leaf, there's no confusion about who you're talking about.

Rival was called Green and Blue on several occassions, Terry is less confusing.
