I actually kind of like Dedenne a lot, it's a shame it gets no good moves. I most likely wouldn't use it anyway but it would have been nice

I think the Pikaclones all have to do with the newest feature of the next gen game. Example!

Pichu is for the egg feature...Plusle/Minum were for the Double Battle feature... Dedenne was for the fairy feature... I can't think of what Maril and Emolga correspond to though. (then again, maybe this is just headcanon and I'm just wrong)
