What's the best way to raise a Blissey for competitive games? What is its best nature, what is its best stat distribution, what is its best moveset, what is its best held item? My older brother's friend told me once when I was like 12 that the best way to use a Blissey is to just max out its health and its attack, use minimize over and over, and then just keep using double slap, and you'll never get fucking hit, and even when you do the damage is negligible. I have no idea how feasible this is as a legitimate strategy but it sounded like a fun way to troll people, at least.

>>18883462 Wait, is Seismic Toss not affected by stat points? If not then that's pretty goddamn cool.

>>18883503 It does damage based on the level of the Pokemon using it. If the Pokemon is level 100, then it will take 100 HP away from the opponent, period (unless they're a ghost type).

>>18883548 That's fucking awesome, but bulbapedia says it has to be chain bred from Mankey to Mawile to Chansey. Is there a particular way to go about this? I'm kinda clueless when it comes to breeding, I have no idea if the bred pokemon will be the same species as the male parent or the female parent or who passes down the inheritable moves.

>>18883621 >mfw I'm actually helping someone Here's how to get a Chansey with Seismic Toss- get a male (it must be male) Mankey/Primeape that knows Toss (you can trade for one or look for someone who has a Friend Safari with Mankey in it.) Breed it with a female (it must be female) Mawile. Once you hatch a male Mawile with Toss, breed it with a Chansey. The resulting Chansey will have Toss.

>>18883621 I think both parents now pass down moves but the female is the parent that determines what species the egg will be.

>>18883664 Can Skarmory learn defog in this way? I looked on Bulbapedia but it doesn't show anything.

>>18883676 Skarmory can't learn defog through breeding, sadly.

You want Bold with max Defense.

>>18883695 Doesn't Chansey lose leftovers though?
>>18883699 This is what I used back in D/P/P but I think I want a max Special Defense one this time. I don't see many mixed sweepers anymore and I won't be leaving mine in against physical attacks.

>>18883695 I thought about it, because with the moveset described earlier, Chansey with an eviolite would have higher defense and almost the same HP, but
Chansey looks ugly design-wise compared to Blissey Anonymous
