Keep Serena and Calem as the playable characters.
Team Flare felt like they were there just to be the game''s organization, so make them have more purpose like teams from earlier games did.
Oh and keep that fat fuck and small kid out, they were the worst excuses for rivals if you can even call them that.

I want to know what happens to Lysandre.

I want Team Flare's grunts to not actually know what Lysandre was doing, and the realization that he's gonna kill a lot of people and pokemon sets a bunch of them on edge and possibly even gets some grunts to rebel and help you out.
I'd like to know why Diantha didn't get on the ball at all. Lysandre said to her face and to the professor's that he had some dastardly shit going down, why didn't that ring a bell?

-Lysandre and team flare get more threatening (attacking the tower where you get the mega ring, taking lumiose city as a whole base during their last strike acting as a dungeon, more detail on what makes them feared)
-Sycamore becomes the champion, his battles with the Kanto starters were all just to make sure your strong
-Diantha instead meets with you constantly acting as a partner in many situations. Originally wanting to take a break from filming a big movie she winds up stoping team flare with you on many occasions
-gym leaders all have small adventures like wulfric's or korrina's but with dialogue that isn't forgettable
-don't just hand over a lucario to you like nothing
-lysandre still dies at the end but have him become the bomb somehow and explode, having zygarde save you out of no where since xerneas and yveltal were hurt before that.

Make the plot interesting enough for the players to actually give a shit about what happens to anyone.

Also, make the Elite 4 actually challenging, and have extra missions in the looker bureau.

The grunts never have a purpose. Literally the only reason they exist is to make sure that the player is leveled up enough for the battles that matter.

they really don't add any depth to the rivals anymore (or ever). playing through B/W, i thought that Cherry (whatever) was gonna betray you join team plasma with all the 'need more power' shit he said.
they should make a rival who goes through this inferiority crisis as the game progresses and joins up with the main villians.
