Am I alone in saying that natures and IVs ruined the franchise?
I'm perfectly fine with EVs being a thing, as doing specialized training to maximize your Pokemon's effectiveness makes sense. And although natures and IVs make sense when referring to living beings, it just makes the game kind of redundant.
There is nothing more demoralizing than beating the Elite 4 with a team that you spend the whole entire game training and leveling up, only to box every single member of said team and breeding an exact replica with better stats/natures for the "post game".
Picking one offspring in a pool of dozens, and then referring to them as you "bro" just doesn't seem right. The whole breeding process just feels like unnecessary padding.
