UU is out of beta, that means tier shifts only happen once every 3 months now, rather than once a month like when it was in beta. So nothing is going to rise nor fall between OU and UU this month.

See pic. That's the list of BL stuff, in order of how much they'd break the tier (Mega Medicham) or how much UU council hates them (Shadow Tag anything.)

This gen, stuff gets quickbanned if it's "potentially" broken. They're going down the list, one by one, and letting them back in one at a time to see if they're actually, truly broken/centralizing.

I think it's kind of obtuse since they're basically lowering the overall power level of the tier, but I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that almost none of them have any defensive checks at all. Most of the bans here do make some sense at least.

Volcarona without roost generally run gigadrain, which deals with Quag, Swampert, Milotic and weakened jellicent

Florges can switch into it, but can't do anything back. Volcarona can then set up once or twice depending on if it's running lum berry. You could run HP rock but that would make your florges pretty bad at doing ordinary florges things, and it doesn't even 2HKO without sacrificing bulk. 4 SpA Florges Hidden Power Rock vs. +1 4 HP / 0 SpD Volcarona: 124-148 (39.7 - 47.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Volcarona is uncounterable in UU. You can check it with any fast scarfer with a rock move or water move (mienshao, for example)

Nah. When you use toxic it puts you at a turn disadvantage to the Volcarona. If the Volc is +1 over your florges, you are 3HKO'd. Since you aren't using protect wish isn't that reliable. Basically what this means is that if Volc gets ONE fiery dance boost you lose.

Florgess doesn't need to keep up in stat boost. If Volcarona tries to keep stat boosting then Florges can just toxic.

If Volcarona ever attacks then Florges can wish and calm mind. Also, a light screen might be even better than calm mind.

It could run Hurricane, which at +1 is an OHKO after Rocks. Enough Pokemon put up with Focus Blast's 70% accuracy for the coverage it provides, after all. There's also the option of using HP Rock, which also lets +1 Timid Volcarona take out Mega Aerodactyl 56% of the time if Stealth Rocks are up.
