It was good for the random online battles, items/prizes like Electivire/Magmortar, and seeing 4th gen Pokemon in 3D. I wouldn't mind another game like it if it were fleshed out more and had more features and/or was more like Stadium.

Locking each save file to a single game cart is the worst idea ever. I stopped playing this game once Platinum released.
Having some sort of trainer customization is nice, but the base trainer designs aren't nearly as appealing as protagonists in other games.
You can't manage items on the trainer card.
Neon Colosseum is annoying. Most other special battle types aren't especially original or interesting in the same way Battle Frontier usually is.
The advertised field destruction was scrapped.
It's missing a ton of features Stadium had.

It has a weak sense of objective, a strong lack of notable opponents, and essentially no bonus features or purpose beyond just battles.

Battle Revolution had a weak story but multiplayer was great. I flinched many hapless souls on the random battle thingy.

If you had a 4th gen game it was playable. If you had Pokegen it was fucking magical.

Not just because you could run 6 arceus with no problem, but the game didn't care if you had illegal movesets. As far as that went, if the pokemon could learn the move in any legal way, it got in.

We had timid Heatran with Eruption, BellyJet Azumarill, timid Aura Sphere Raikou, Lapras/Walrein with 3 Ohko moves. If I can dig my Wii back up i'd remember more.
