I can kind of see this happening since gen 3 was pre-phys/special split and since gen 3 games are the only ones that can't be played on the 3DS, but they'd probably remake Hoenn first. But maybe before they remake Sinnoh (if they actually do).

I don't want a hoenn remake because I'd rather see new stuff done. And I'm sick of gen 1 pokemon in every piece of fanart and t-shirt. I like all the gens but it's obvious when there is a bias towards one gen.

Kanto would take less time/money to develop than Hoenn
Kanto pokemon are more popular, goes without saying a game with Charizard on the cover would sell more than Sceptile (KIDS love Charizard are you going to accuse them of being nostalgiafags too?)
Japs don't think anything more of Hoenn than they do Johto, Sinnoh or Unova

Even assuming they'd sell the same, Kanto is a better business move

I am not a genwunner. However, I preferred Kanto as a region to Hoenn, and prefered the gen I pokedex to Hoenn's. My favourite dex is Gen VI or Gen II though. My least favourite Gens were IV and III. Why are people who share similar beliefs to me called genwunners?

I hated how many legendaries were introduced in gens III, IV and V and how the story just became "Defeat the evil team to stop them destroying the universe/eco system/humanity by catching the legendary trio". Team Rocket at least had some interesting operations between Gen I and II. I also liked the non-legendary focus, especially in Gen I. Saying that, Kanto could have been bigger, but I liked the feel of it in FireRed and LeafGreen. Kalos is also a great region. Sinnoh too, if not a little gimmicky.

I would prefer a Gen I 3D remake to a Gen III remake, but can't people hold that opinion without being branded 'genwunners'.
