Hatched my first shiny EVER 5 minutes ago. Its a Shiny Kangaskhan (Jolly, 5IV in everything but HP). I've never gotten a shiny since I've started playing pokemon and here I got a pretty good one!

Hey /vp!/ I actually got this little guy kinda by mistake, I was only breeding for IVs. He's pretty good for them too, he has everything except Speed, and that won't matter as much because Prankster anyway. Named him Sir Locklan.

I stated liking Klefki a lot more when I realized that the lower part of the lock in its face was actually its mouth and the top half its nose, it looks a bit weird if you see the whole thing as an oddly-shaped mouth. But yeah, Klefki's weird and cute and useable, so I've grown pretty fond of it! Hope it's not too overused though.

Hey /shw/, just checking in since I haven't for a few weekends spent a bit of time getting over my dog passing away. Goldkarp eluded me for 3000 eggs, so it is on hold for now (I will be back when Masuda wills it). Caught two shinies looking for female HA Eevees in friend safari, an Eevee that is now a Leafeon and a Loudred (which unfortunately doesn't have scrappy, but at least it has modest and I love it all the same).

Currently hatching squirtles (breeding balltism squirtles for myself and some mates) looking for that 5IV female but also keeping an eye out for shinies. Hope other hunters had a good easter.

I will get my perfect goldkarp some day (seriously, I get a perfect shiny Beldum in my first fucking box and yet 3000 eggs later still have no goldkarp?) but for now I think that Masuda is telling me to search elsewhere.

Once I finally get these Squirtles bred I will need a hunt though, I'm really stuck on inspiration with the Goldkarps having taken up so much of my attention in game for so long.

Not sure, lots of conflicting sources on that point. Either it works and that means 6/4096 chances of having a shiny becoming 8/4096 with the Shiny Charm, or it doesn't work and it's always 8/4096.

Just got a Japanese Charmander a couple hours ago via wonder trade. And just yesterday a friedn was willing to trade his Charzardite Y for my Charzardite X. I've never tried Masuda method, but I'm giving it a shot. Currently 2 boxes full of rejects, and the boredom is starting to set in. Any words of advice/encouragement from any Masuda experts?

Thanks, 3 boxes full and I'm feeling pretty damn determined to get this thing. Been wanting a shiny Charizard for a damn long time now.
And yeah, I don't really play X that much anymore. Just the odd grind-fest/shiny hunt while waiting for Z/X2 & Y2 to come out. So as long as something is on in the background, shouldn't be too dreary.

Well, lots of shiny hunters tend to do something else while hunting, as it makes the whole thing easier. Just be sure to double check every hatching egg, so you won't release a shiny by mistake.
