One of the reasons I love the exp. share this gen, it enables you to rotate a huge amount of pokes without tedious grinding.

Is it possible to get all 18 types spread on 9 pokes in X/Y?

I did a Sapphire run with 3 Pokemon. No HM slaves, just Blaziken, Gyarados and Altaria. It was more about being frugal with HMs than difficulty though

I only use new pokemon in my playthroughs.

For example, Gen IV pokemon in D/P/P, Gen V Pokemon in B/W (which was easy for obvious reasons) and Gen VI Pokemon in X/Y.

When I finish the league though, everything is fair game. I also don't use this rule in the remakes.

Help me Vp, my OCD is hurting me.

>Must have a single support
>Must have a ground type for earthquake.

>The support HAVE to be able to dual screens.
>Steel type, for defensive purposes.

I always try to use a new Pokemon that I haven't used before from an old gen. It usually becomes one of my favorites soon after.
In my recent Gale of Darkness playthrough, Ursaring became one of my best Pokemon by the end of the game.
Same can be said about Emerald's Magneton, and Fire Red's Nidoking.

I thought I was bad. you don't even encounter anything threatening ingame that requires this kind of preparation

My list:
>I don't allow myself to look at natures until I beat the Pokemon League (if they have bad natures or bad characteristics it will kill my motivation to use them)
>Must use starter
>Team should aesthetically "fit" (nothing too similar (ex. Beartic and Ursaring) and nothing that contrasts too much (ex. for some reason Hawlucha is great with delphox, but does not "fit" with greninja)
>must use a suitable ball for a mon (I once restarted a game because I wanted to use a goldeen. I traded for one, and it was in a quickball which I could not stand)
>if I catch a pokemon it is only because I want to use it for the game. if I catch one by accident or catch one and lose interest in it, I'll generally lose motivation and restart fresh
>for this reason, giftmons are suffering for my playthroughs, I hate them
