I just got done with the Looker side quests, and man, I wasn't too sure how to feel about this guy anymore. I hadn't played Platinum so I wasn't aware of his character.
Initially, I didn't like him. Don't know why. I just didn't. Something about him rubbed me the wrong way. Might have been the way he contacts you. Or maybe the way he makes you prove to him that you're worthy of his time/organization.

So when everything was finally resolved by the final chapter, I honestly felt sad that Looker was leaving Emma and my in-game character.
I have nothing but respect for Looker now. Still a little bummed out he doesn't stick around, but I hope in the next game he makes a return.

At first, I found him annoying and unfunny. Then he asked Emma to stay at the bureau and treated Mimi well and I realised that he was actually a really cool guy. I like him. The ending made me shed a couple of tears, I must admit.

It was pretty much heavily implied if not explicit that his Croagunk must have died some time before Kalos, so there he is, all alone in his bureau and he takes in this homeless girl and treats her like a daughter. I just... felt really bad for him.
Even in the anime, I hear he's pretty cool. Can't remember much from the Team Galactic arcs, but I watched the Team Plasma arc, and he was probably one of the best things about it. I mean, he has his disguises, his tools, and when push came to shove all he used was a steel pipe to try and subdue people.
Looker's pretty based, I'd say. I'd love to see him return in future games.

I've always liked looker, especially as I see him as similar to pic related. That is why I was not as happy with the looker missions as I could have been. I found the missions were a little repetitive and the fact that the whole thing overall was quite short disappointed me immensely. I was also a little peeved that the only "new" area was a carbon copy of an area used in the story. Despite that all, I think the story was excellently orchestrated and I'm glad we had some closure on some members of team flare.

I liked how in Platinum he spoke with an odd accent, but in Unova and Kalos he speaks perfectly, it seemed to imply he just didn't speak Japanese very well. I imagined him as a native of either Kalos or the Pokémon versions of Britain or Canada. Though according to Bulbapedia the Japanese version didn't have that, so in reality they probably just added it to Platinum during localization to make him more unique and then dropped it in later games when they realized he was gonna be recurring. like his Pokémon did
