back in my day, i had to wake up at 5am just to catch all the good cartoons or be subjected to watch whatever crap that aired around 8-9am. and those specific shows would have to air, where my TV guide and the TV Guide channel would say something like "Inspector Gadget" or "Captain N", instead theyd air something like "Cro" or some educational live-action thing about animals.
Cro was okay though, but that was still the shittiest thing that tv networks do. I wrote an angry letter once in that typical 5-year old fashion (in crayon, in BIG underlined letters, and used any big words i've learned at the time like "dissapointed, unproffeshunal, infuryated"). All i got back was a network postcard and a letter of apology followed by some explanation about regions and syndications. Never woke up early again, not even on saturdays since the good cartoons aired later anyway
