I'm fond of the Crumbler, which runs a Quiet nature and Shadow Ball/Shadow Sneak/Sacred Sword or Iron Head/King's Shield.

Seriously though Shadow Ball/Sneak/Sacred Sword/Kings Shield, 252 EVs in Atk/SpAtk Quiet, 31/31/31/31/31/0 holding a Life Orb or Spooky Plate is probably the best 6v6 set there is. SubToxic isn't bad though. Purely Special can be utilized if you're running Autotomize. Purely physical is WoW bait, especially if you're using SD/KS.

In 3v3 or 4v4 Mixed Aegislash is still probably the best, though Weakness Policy is definitely better here because of the short match duration.

Why does everyone insist on running quiet? Brave has no negative special attack and you're only running one special attack. Wouldn't you want that positive attack nature just for stronger shadow sneaks?

Because 90% of the time you're using Shadow Ball. Shadow Sneak is only there to nab a 2HKO when Shadow Ball doesn't OHKO, and Sacred Sword is just to out-predict your opponent when they switch in an Aegislash counter. Quiet is the best nature for this.

I dunno man, I feel like Brave works out just fine here. With a weakness policy boost Slash has the strongest Shadow Sneak in the game, I feel like prioritizing that priority move is clutch in today's meta. A slightly weaker shadow ball is a fair trade-off.

Sorry m8, Shadow Sneak just isn't that reliable, at least not in 6v6.

Literally the only reason Shadow Sneak is used on the mixed set is to clean up after Shadow Ball. And Shadow Ball is your ace, it needs as much as investment as you can give it.

really need the sacred sword sometimes but the more special version really catches people by surprise. also if you get burned only your priority gets cut. the only thing this hasnt been able to take out effectivly is charizard Y. so dont derp.

Yeah i've ran the special set before, and it really does catch people off guard but for me i just like the mixed/physical set. It works better for my team as a whole. I usually try to bait an EQ or a more preferable knock off then either shadow ball or sacred sword. and since aegi is a late game sweeper i try and to shadow sneak sweep

It will matter. +4 Attack sounds good until you realize a) you have no EV's in Atk and b) your most reliable move has 60 base power. Oh yeah and it's been fucking halved. You're not damaging anything before it gets finished off. That set is terrible.

That doesn't matter. A burned Aegislash is a worthless Aegislash, because your ruthless +4 Attack sweep machine can now be walled to hell and back by anything that resists or takes neutral damage from your two offensive moves.

Yeah, but it's only for enemies with low health. Since Aegislash is too slow he needs a priority move to finish off anything that has endured a hit. Also, he has enough attack to hit strong enough.
