Headcanon: Gym Leaders periodically battle in tournaments to determine the order their gyms are in power wise. This is why Sabrina managed to kick the Fighting Dojo out of gym status. Gym Leaders are appointed by the League, but the qualifications are lax and gyms can be passed down through families, to friends, bought, etc.

The fact that this legend is stated in the fucking game. And yes it is a legend, but considering 90% of legends in this series are true I don't think it's unreasonable to believe it happened.

The only thing that's not basically canon is the species of the three Pokémon, but when you have a) trainers in the same city who traditionally use Eeveelutions, b) Eeveelutions contain a trio of Fire, Electric and Water type fox/cat creatures, and we know c) that a trio of Pokémon died and we're resurrected as Fire, Electric and Water (or is Suicune ice?) dog/cat creatures, it's not hard to fill in the blanks there.

Kyurem Black and White, which is just two of the three combined, have a 700 bst. I'd imagine the original pure Kyurem rivaled Arceus's strength.

Part of the reason why I don't think they'd do it:

The only reasonable way to have an Original Dragon now is to build a mega on top of the Kyurem formes, whom already have mega-tier stats. Also, I think they may want Mewtwo to remain the most powerful pokemon for a little while longer.

A Mega Kyurem-forme would look something like this in BST

Didn't Ho-Oh not only revived the "unnamed Pokemon" and gave them the powers of Electric, Fire and Water?
It disproves Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon being turned into Raikou, Suicune and Entei because they already had the powers. But it doesn't disprove 3 Eevees dying and being revived into something more powerful than the common eeveelutions

The Jolteon/Flareon/Vaporeon relationship to the three beasts seems pretty safe and reasonable. There's quite a few things they have in common.

If Espeon/Umbreon were added it would dilute the story because that's two extra elements that were never meant to be addedThough Psychic and Dark beasts would be fucking radical

I really think they should just reboot the whole mythology and reorganize.
Maybe make it an event where Arceus reveals himself to be a trickster god or destroys himself to achieve some purpose and it rewrites reality.

Look at the stat spread because they're similar: both Vaporeon and Suicune are defensive-oriented; Flareon and Entei have low Speed and Defense but high Attack while lacking a good Fire move (pre-Gen VI for Flareon and the event shiny Entei); and Jolteon and Raikou both have high Speed and Sp. Attack. Those are the only other similarities I see.

Mewtwo's Mega's were created to push the limits and capabilities of the experiment. CharizardX's Mega was created scientifically, possibly alongside Mewtwo, in an attempt to remove Charizards flaws, and experiment with type changing.

Pic Related is the best image I have been able to find for this. It ties evidence found in Origins (The canon interpretation of Red's journey) to the theory.

Only in Gen 1, but when Pokemon exploded, they retconned that stuff to build their own fictional world.

Places like Unova and Kalos may be inspired by real-world locations, but they aren't supposed to literally be PokéMurika, or France, ect.

Kinda' irks me when people speculate characters like Shauna being Middle-Eastern, when there ARE no Middle-Eastern characters in Pokémon, because there's no such thing as the Middle-East. Technically, Shauna is simply a "Darker Skinned Kalosian", it's not that hard to understand.

The only reason we haven't seen alot of space Pokemon is because Rayquaza considers Earth to be his territory, so only the incredibly powerful space Pokemon like Deoxys can enter. The exceptions would be Clefairy, but they had a spaceship. I've always figured that their would would've been completely overrun by space Pokemon if Rayquaza wasn't there, because I doubt the origin trio or Arceus could give any fucks.

Well actually, the storm was caused by lugia.
This is why Lugia is sealed away in the Whirl Islands and why the islands have a permanent Whirlpool surrounding them.
Lugia is guarding itself so it doesnt cause more destruction, and its storm-inducing powers are evident by its Aeroblast and the whirlpools it created to prevent humans from getting too close.

this reminds me, I always wanted to make a "Cosmic" type because Deoxys being psychic doesn't feel right. A lot of Gen 3 mons could fill that gap too (Metagross, Solrock, etc.) and I also considered even Clefairy in the past, but obviously not now.

So they're both legends, but very different from Yveltal/Xerneas. Which are very Western myths (hence the skepticism regarding their real existence. NPCs deny they're real. No one doubts Ho-Oh or Lugia.)

I don't know if this belongs here, or no one would give a shit since it's long but an anon from another thread mentioned that Arceus' D/P/HG/SS dex entries show similarities with the Hindu God, Vishnu. Although its dex entry says it "created the universe with a thousand arms" (which relates more to Brahma), Vishnu is said to have a thousand names. (Somewhat related to its multiple type combinations?)The arms in Arceus' dex entry might be referring to the move Judgement. I was looking into the Hindu deities and found that Arceus might be related to Zygarde in a way. Vishnu is said to wake up one day on a back of Ananta (a snake with a thousand heads) in an ocean located at the bottom of the universe. I think Zygarde's new leaked moves Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves is related to the thousand heads of Ananta and the ocean. It's possible that if Zygarde gets a new forme, it will have five to seven crowned heads since Ananta is usually depicted with that many. Since a thousand is a bitch to draw, and would look pretty fucking complex and retarded on a pokemon I also found someone mentioning in the comments of the leaked video that the battle animation of the move Thousand Arrows is similar to Arceus' move, Judgement. As I read more about Hindu deities, I found that Volcanion can be similar to the Hindu deity, Vayu (Regent of the wind/atmosphere) In Volcanion's dex entry, it says that it's the Steam Pokemon. Ananta (The snake with a thousand heads) issued a challenge, which Vayu (atmosphere deity) accepted. Ananta stated that if Vayu were to find a way passed his thousand heads, and destroy the mountain Ananta protected, Vayu would win. The mountain was destroyed Volcanion's dex entry states that it's steam is able to blow away a mountain. This is all speculation, but I think it kinda fits in place with Hindu beliefs/deities. Hoopa also looks the part.
