Remakes: Why G3 remakes will never happen

No.18947105 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Alright you dumb fucking Hoennbabies, let's look at the facts and see why your precious Gen 3 is never getting a remake.

>R/B/G/Y
Pros
>Started the Pokemon series
>Nostalgic
Cons
>Lack of post game content
>Suffers from many game breaking glitches
>Broken mechanics
>Aged badly
>Limit cartrage life
>Can't link to newer generations
Thus FRLG were made to fix these issues.

>G/S/C
Pros
>Nostalgic
Cons
>Kanto was tacked on
>Lack of battle-able trainers
>Awful level grinding
>Aged badly
>Limited cartrage life
>Can't link to newer generations
Thus HGSS were made to fix these issues. But failed on the level grinding problem. Heck, at least level grinding is a little less tedious.

And now let's look at your precious Generation 3
>Good post-game content in the form of the Battle Frontier
>Mechanics that still hold up well to this day
>Cartrage life not limited
>CAN link to newer generations

If you still think Hoenn needs a remake because it's outdated and old, then Fire Red and Leaf Green need remakes too.

>B-but OP! Look at all these signs that suggest we'll get Hoenn remakes!
What, the Ex Magma/Aqua grunts in B2W2 indicate that Hoenn remakes are right around the corner?
Then that must mean that the Kanto starters appearing in HGSS and XY confirms Kanto remakes. Mewtwo and the legendary birds appearing in XY confirms Kanto remakes. Blue Oak being mentioned in XY confirms Kanto remakes.

These tiny details linking to Hoenn do not confirm remakes. It's no more than the developers giving a nod to past generations to prove that the events of those games are relevant.
