If it does mean two abilities then CharY and Kanga are the obvious choices for two abilities that work well in tandem (and are both already pretty great)
I think it just meant the original ability but with stat buffs though.

Guts M-Heracross sounds pretty decent.
If the Pokémon in question keeps their ability after Mega Evolving, would the ability be applied twice? If so, Mega Blaziken with two Speed Boosts per turn and Mega Medicham with double Pure Power would be fantastic.

Wondering about mega scizor now. If bullet punch got a 100 percent boost instead of 50, that would be awesome. Along with coverage from a double power thief/knock off/pursuit, bug bite, aerial ace, and probably some other moves
