CAP isn't really just "let's make a good pokemon", since that's not very interesting. It's more "given this very specific criteria, how can we make a pokemon that will fill it, help us learn more about the metagame in some way, and still be good in OU". The movepool and design parts are probably the most boring, and the good discussion only really happens in the early parts

I think its a neat little idea but I'd never really use any of them in practice. Almost all of their designs are edgy/10

Those can be relearned too, if it's from this gen.

Every mon has four slots for extra relearnable moves. Egg moves go in those slots, and so do event moves like Happy Hour on Inkay. Only events from previous gens can't relearn their event moves, as those data fields did not exist then.

The only way to really do this would be through an in-game event/move tutor that checks if it has learned moves not on its level-up list. And forces it to relearn those moves, like with Rotom forms.

Aegislash I can't answer, but Chandelure looks approprietly for its stats. It looks like final stage Pokemon and like a Special Attacker, wheras Mollux looks like no-evo Pokemon with 450 stats, or middle form of Pokemon that will have about 500 base stats upon reaching final form. Excluding Megas and Legends, Mollux would have 4th highest Special Attack in game, on par with Volcarona, Alakazam and Porygon-Z,

Yes, because legendary automatically means having all le ebin moves for no reason.
Even Arceus and Mew have a sober movepool unline a moth that can Hydro Pump or Dragon Dance without any reason or even learning Close Combat. The design doesn't save it either.

Actually, Smogon admits that Aurumoth was a colossal fuck-up.
They were trying to make a Pokemon that's risky to use, but the leader of the project influenced the polls so it had incredible abilities, great stats, and a near-perfect movepool. That particular leader lost nearly all his respect because of Aurumoth's incredible failure to do anything it was supposed to, and is just now getting people to like him again. Meanwhile, Aurumoth is infamous, and is always mentioned whenever the topic of a CAP being "too powerful" is brought up.

When a Pokemon is designed to accomplish one specific thing in a competitive environment, of course it's going to be shit.

If Goodra and this thing were presented side-by-side and no one had ever seen either, i'd imagine a lot of people would probably believe Goodra was an actual pokemon because of how fucking stupid it is. It doesn't accomplish anything other than having a fuckhueg special defense whereas squidmon could probably do 2 or 3 different things flawlessly. Goodra has flavor with 3 radically different abilities and a lot of useless moves, squidward has 2 holy shit abilities and probably a movepool to match.

Auramoth or whatever the hell that thing is supposed to be is probably their least believable effort yet.
