Why doesn't anyone use Seismitoad?

Arcanine is in UU tier, Seismitoad is in NU
Seismitoed's stats aren't that much lower than arcanine's they're pretty similar
It makes no sense to me, but I don't play by tier, I play by preference

I thought about that, but Seismitoad has good abilities, his speed isn't the best for a rain team but i like the idea of poison touch poison jab having 60% chance

Other pokemon do that better if it really does stack.

Mainly Toxicroak. Don't let that deter you from trying it though, it is a hell of a lot different than every other Water/Ground type.

Nothing stopping you from using him, I've used Arcanine on a couple of OU teams and he does fine.
Throw Seismitoad in a UU team if you think it'll work, maybe you'll change a few minds and hurt a few butts.

I fucking hate Seismitoad, it's ALWAYS in the maison and up until now, I've never had a Grass move that I could use on it. Water/Grounds are the death of me in doubles.

Had to fucking teach Landorus Grass Knot just to get rid of him.

I use 80HP/252Atk/176Spe, but I'm running Life Orb with Morning Sun. For Choice Band I'd say either ditch the speed for more bulk since a lot of touch mons in OU will outspeed him anyway and you won't always be able to ESpeed, or go the other way and dump in Spe to outspeed what you can. Couldn't way which is better without going through everything in OU.

Tiers are based on usage.
Lots of people love Arcanine, not so many people love Seismitoad.

That being said, it DID have an OU analysis in Gen 5, so Smogon definitely thought it had a place in OU.

Yeah, I'm thinking of dropping the speed since their are so many things that it can probably still outspeed anyway and a lot of the tougher shit will just use sucker punch or aqua jet and extreme speed won't even dent them.

I use one with an assault vest, it's pretty good, being able to use a knock off that not only gets rid of their item but has a good chance to poison is nice, plus it only has one weakness wich is easily negateable by running something with sap sipper.

Like, for example, everything else.

The pokemon do not share types, do not share move sets (do they share even a single move in common?) do not share abilities and do not share niches. Stats are the least of their differences. Even if the stats were that big of a deal, you say yourself that Arcanine has better stats, so by your logic wouldn't it make sense that Arcanine would be better, anyway?
