Not competitively. It's completely inferior to special Greninja. The only physical Greninja I have is Froabble because it's locked into Jolly nature and I used it for a few in-game things.

Somebody surprised me with a power up punch mixed greninja and completely fucked up my match. Sometimes catching people off guard is better than metagames optimizing.

I use physical moves with mine. However, my Ninja is mixed, and those are tricky moves anyways (Shadow Sneak for mindgames and Priority, and U-Turn)

Those are pretty much the only usable moves greninja has on the physical side. He's too frail to pup, and all other moves have less bp and similar to less coverage than his special moves.

Maybe the Z tutors will give him PowerWhip, knock off and ice punch, maybe he'll get a better physical niche
