I've been trying to get a shiny Chespin for a month 1700+ eggs. Froakie took me 100 eggs, Fennekin 300, honedge only 30... The God of shinies has abbandoned me.

Also, does anyone know if abusing the Masuda method makes the game not to show anymore shinies. This is driving me crazy.

I know I may never get it but Masuda method worked so fine at the beggining and I might have got used to it too fast.

How many rolls of a die are necessary before you get a 6? The answer is there is no amount of necessary rolls. It is a 1/6 chance every time. The previous rolls do not affect the subsequent rolls.

The same is true of MM. Hatching 1700 eggs does not influence later hatches. It is a 1/1300~ roll every time.

Not a guide for how many eggs are necessary to get a shiny.

And anyway, for expected value to play a part, you'd need to have hatched hundreds of shinies at least. It doesn't come in to play within 4 shinies.
