Chesnaught was designed as a defensive pokemon.

You're just making it a cloyster with shittier dual STABs

Drain Punch is the only move it needs.

Yeah, it wouldn't do much but it would still be nice. Banded Mach/Bullet Punch off of his 125 Attack would still be pretty good and if he had knock off he'd have an option for Leftovers Stallers. It'd make him viable as an NU-type at least, maybe even RU. But even if he got every move under the sun, with his typing + stats he'd never make it beyond an extremely, extremely niche UU pokemon.

Give it Dragon Rush. 30% boost in exchange for losing flinching and 75% accuracy seems like a damn good tradeoff, considering that's the only physical dragon move that can benefit from Sheer Force.

Metagross has the bulk, and has the attacking power. Has the stats. Typing is so-so. He just needs either recovery to make it truly tanky, or some sort of setup other than Agility to make it truly dangerous. One of the two, at the least.

Metagross is so close to excellence.

I really hope that Z version introduces a move tutor that helps out Carbink's movepool some, or at least opens up its options in some other way. Cosmic Power and Recover would be very welcome additions. Hell, I'd take Pain Split or Wish, too. Rapid Spin would also be quite nice.

I really like Carbink and wish he was more viable.
