Ash is actually a great character, the show just has shit writers (look at the Sinnoh League to see Ash actually do shit)
Every movie is good because of the higher animation budgets, gorgeous scenery, worldbuilding and soundtrack. The only exception is the Keldeo movie, which had no redeeming factors.
Pokemon Ranger was good
Johto's level curve was not a problem, and was infact very welcome, even allowing use to do the 5th, 6th, and 7th gyms in any order.
B2/W2 were some of the best games in the franchise, with great characters like Colress and Roxie that will sadly be forgotten because low sales = low demand. Pokemon World Tournemant may also suffer this fate.
Iris was an amazing Champion, and people only overlook her because her anime counterpart was horrendous. I particularly love that she has a theme (prehistoric themed Pokemon) rather than a type, but again, most people were too busy calling her a nigger and complaining about how random and out of place she was to notice.
