I think you're missing the point of the OP. Even with water/dark/dragon pulse and aura sphere, Blastoise is still nothing more than a decent rapid spinner taking up your mega slot. The other Kanto starter megas are way better.

Don't you realize that Gamefreak intentionally gave Blastoise a bad mega so that it would be incapable of countering Charizard anymore?

People would complain if Blastoise could win against Charizard in real matches.

Gamefreak certainly hates Blastoise, especially when you consider how Blastoise is often set up as a villain against Charizard.

Case in point, Pokemon Origins.

I expect the same fate to happen to Chesnaught. Gamefreak intentionally making Chesnaught weak so that Greninja stays cool.

That takes way way way more setup. Both of those, and aqua ring is a moveslot. It's absurdly inefficient. AND it doesn't get a drain move.

Nah, Modest is probably the best - hit as hard as possible. Also, Scald or Hydro Pump is better than Water Pulse even though that move gets boosted by Mega Launcher.

The main problem with M-Blastoise, in my opinion, is that it would be the best Rapid Spinner in the game if not for the fact that the best things that you want to Spin for are other Megas.

Except for the fact that Defog removes hazards from both sides of the field, and sometimes teams can only synergize well with a spinner like Excadrill or Starmie instead of Defoggers like Mandibuzz.
