Alright vp, gamefreak needs YOU to come up with some cool items/abilities/moves to use in future pokemon games.

You have an idea? Post it in this thread and let others tell you why it's bad.

That would be terrifying on Talonflame

An item that makes all physical moves special, and vice versa would be cool for those Pokemon that either have shitty coverage or good moves that don't match(Swellow's Boomburst, Aggron's Surf)

I think something like that would have to be single-use or something, since it already exists as an ability. Kinda like how Air Balloon only provides ground immunity until it takes damage.

Poison moves from Poison type mons inflict Toxic-tier poisoning.
Normal poisoning cuts Special Attack like burn does.

That would be under the assumption that the Pokemon that got it would have any negative priority moves, if any at all. Although it's a fair assumption. Huge Power would be absolutely stupid on Pokemon that actually have a good Attack stat. And Gale WIngs would be even worse coming off anything with more than 80 base attack.

These are really awful. Can you imagine getting a STAB boomburst with Mega Alakazam?

An entirely new system in battle that allows you to combine two or more moves, within reason at least. Nothing too convoluted, and you probably wouldn't be able to fuse the 5-8 PP moves, those tending to be pretty buff on their own.

But like... Let's take Diggersby for example. One turn you could choose to use both Quick Attack, and Hammer Arm (not earthquake though, because how the fuck do you transition from quick attack to earthquake?). Buff ass priority, but then like... the next turn either requires a recharge, or at least guarantees that the pokemon moves last next turn.

A held item that negates the damage from status conditions. Quick Feet and Guts users would benefit from it.
Confusion is now a sttatus condition just like burn and sleep.
Also:
Sure Shot:
This ability provides 100 acc for every move in exchange for a small portion of power.

Moves that can miss would have their power reduced by 1/2 of the accuracy necessary to reach 100% e.g.
>Inferno has 50% and 120bp.
>50/2= 25
>120-25=95
>100% accuracy, 95BP 100% chance of burn
