I was able to successfully outspeed his whole team spamming Fissure 5 times consecutively

There is an emulator called 'virtual boy advance' (VBA) you can emulate multiple machines at once, and i'm using it to fill my kanto dex on firered.

try it. I'd reccomend copying the savesat and trading with yourself, but in case you don't know how the savesatas names work there and don't have time for explenations, just open 2 machines, ignore the first one and play on the second untill you get a haunter. than open the first one and trade yourself.

I can't help you get legit, it really is all in the greens.

What problems did you run into when trying vba?
I also had one, when the vba couldn't link because i had it 'pause when inactive window'. i just made sure both machines ware synched and didn't try speedup and managed to preform quite a bit of trades.

It's been a while since I've tried, I even deleted VBA and Ruby+FireRed.

I still have DeSmuMe and White.

I remember having to make two different save files on two different windows, trying with the same save-file made it freeze.

When I did that and finally managed to synch both windows, and the trade would begin, an error notice would pop up and the emulators crashed.

the trade should be done with a single vba emulator (that is opened twice), 2 savefiles, one is .sa1 the other is .sa2 or something like that. shouldn't matter if both files are identical as long as the naming is different.

I can't help you much on the error notice since i don't know what was written in it

perhaps in options->link you need to select the 'one computer' option and raise the timeout?
