Does anybody still play battle revolution? Can't play now, just curious. What were your thoughts on it? Also, what's good with BR2? Seems sweet but I gotta buy a wii u.

I used to play it a lot, but now with the servers going down it just depresses me to touch it. I thought it did well with whatever was available and much more could have been added, but Gen IV was the shit and this game made a few years for me.

I had fun with BR, but I'm glad it was a gift. Not worth $50.
Main appeal to me was being able to do random wifi battles because DP required friend codes. Since that was added to the games later on, I had less interest in it. I kinda want to play it again before the servers shut down, but I never seem to get around to it. It would probably help if it didn't shut down 2 days before my last finals.

Battle Revolution's gimmick battles are horrible

I remember having a stall war with Legendaries using only a Kakuna and a Metapod

After 45 turns of Poison Damage, Harden + and String Shot assault I won through sheer war of nutrition

Played it a ton. I did a lot of online double matches. You could really spread your wings and try a lot of different things without costing too many loses. Still has the same problem as the 3DS online, where people could just drop there connection when they lose. I had a ton of loses and barley any wins because of it.

But anon, the minigames were bar none the best part of the Stadium games. The battling is fine and all and of course no one would buy it without them, but you get plenty of that in the main series games.
I would probably play a Pokemon-themed Mario Party clone that had minigames like in the Stadium games, though.
