Ive taught autistic kids, and they're not that bad. Its weird though when they have a fixation on a specific object.
I think playing around with that idea when creating a character would be interesting to see how the writer makes them develop or gets in the mindset.
Not that I think the creator was that thoughtful, but still I think its kind of a neat perspective
