Also how do you train in other games
buttraping wild pokemon is so tedious
at least with the exp-share in xy a nuzlocke run is no long boring grinding rally

X+Y is so generous with EXP that I effectively ran a 12 Pokemon team and was still overleveled by the league.

It varies from game to game. Some give you enough trainer battles to rack up experience well, others you tend to hit a wall of wild battling for a while. Games like D/P/Pt that give you the ability to rematch trainers at will are a big help.

Of course you're overleveled if you willingly get increased exp.

Why "of course?" This is literally the first time the exp share has functioned this way, and it's just given to you near the start of the game. You seem to forget that not everyone researches the game ahead of time, there was no precedent for this. If you play blind there's no reason to think the game wouldn't be balanced for the exp share.
