In the end, it's just a game, and I do have fun with it, but when it's over, it's over. I was once like you. I made myself play pokemon simply because there was nothing else to do. I got over it very quickly, though. I have my own reasons, and they are clearly not yours. I guess that's why I tend to like the spinoffs more. It is not the games I hate, though, but what the fandom has become. That they would take the game so literally that what I just said would be true in their eyes. That pokemon is nothing more than cruelty. This is not what we were supposed to think. It is beyond my helping now, though. You can say that is the point of the game all you want, but if it comes to it, yes, I hate the game for this. I hate that pokemon have to do whatever you want and they can't do a thing about it. I hate that everything has to center around battling. I hate that you're just some dumb kid chasing delusions of grandeur. Sadly, anything else is fanfiction. I don't care. I welcome the fanfiction. I welcome anything that doesn't treat me like I'm still in grade school. I shouldn't be here then? That is exactly what your problem is. You'd rather be children than to see the potential here. You'd rather have your elitist gotta catch 'em all club that does nothing but try to outwit each other at a game that hands wins over to you because it was designed for kids. You'd rather sit here and yell at people for liking pokemon for any reason but competitive just because it's furry. I say none of you know what you're talking about. Do that if you wish, but you're all only kidding yourselves. You are children. This board shouldn't exist. The janitors are flipping lazy. This is no pokemon board. It's the equivalent of those childish arguments that end up going infinity + 1.
