I'm going to be skipping this episode and pretending that it doesn't exist. >Not every single episode with Team Rocket disguising themselves is this contrived. And this hardly counts as comedy; from the sounds of it, Team Rocket is actively trying to get Ash and his friends out of the way, which isn't in any way funny. I usually like Team Rocket's disguises for the simple fact that they can seemingly put anything on and people will believe that they're someone else, as long as they're wearing something other than just their uniforms. It's funny in the sense that we all know that Ash should be able to recognize them right off the bat, but doesn't for the sake of plot convenience. This is different, because it suggests that the police are apparently so stupid that they can't tell the difference between a kid and an adult as long as they're wearing the same outfit. I guess you could say that that's comedy, but I personally find it distasteful due to the fact that the police force in the anime has, for the most part, been portrayed as entirely competent, and even on the rare occasion that they aren't, they're at least smart enough to realize that they've made a mistake shortly after they've made one. All this fucking autism over a gag in a childrens' cartoon

the animation was noticeably worse in the second gym than the first. a few parts were well animated like pikachu bouncing off the meteors but most of it was really choppy, plus reused stuff everywhere. the whole surskit battle was smooth as butter and made it look really powerful, where as onix used rock polish but then just sat there. and the iron tail looked really weak, it could have had a much more forceful animation with a wind up and a wide swing that makes shockwaves.

Bad in that I really want to see them clash... plus it'll give us a better glimpse as to how Ash stacks up against the Elite Four when he goes to fight them after winning the Kalos Conference... Alan did quite well for a Pokemon with a disadvantage... if Ash beats Alan, then it's safe to say that with careful planning, he might be ready himself.
Good in that I can also just as easily see Alan taking down Ash in said conference. And he's really the only powerful trainer besides Ash that we know about... so without him, Ash's chance of winning is about 100.1%

After the 8th badge, the next episodes will be about Serena running around, alone or with people that are not Ash, training her pokemon and
winning the badges. It won't go into detail, but it will show 3 or 4 of the matches and maybe some evolutions. The battles will showcase how different of a trainer she is from Ash, and how much of a rookie she is.
After her mini arc, she will go back to the Chateau to see the Ash-Grant rematch. Diantha will challenge him, but he says to save it for the Champion League.
At the League, Ash and Serena face off in the second round, and while Ash wins comfortably, he's impressed by her skill finally starts noticing her.
Then Ash goes on to win the league and beat the E4
-Lysandre (he's already been beaten in the Flare arc) +Tobias Is this the best conclusion you could hope for?
